If you will recall my earlier post, neon clothing is huge in Europe’s western islands. Since making that discovery I have been to another half dozen countries and have been more than a little disappointed by the lack of retina scorching shirts. This disturbing trend of not wearing clothing inspired by Hi-Liter brand markers has continued all the way north to Denmark. Nary a child decked in orange, nor a teen in alien green. Without such obvious visual cues, how should I know whom to look at?

Luckily, Copenhagen had at least one artist aware of the trend that surely lies around the corner. S/he even referenced the propagator of this great movement by adopting the British vernacular.

While the phrase and image may have been made in jest, it raises an interesting dilemma. When earth’s two most compelling images, neon and dinosaurs, are placed side by side, which do you look at first. And more importantly, which do you look at longest?
